Help diagnose... chocking/stuttering turbo? Starts up with difficulty

I had a boost leak because it would not build boost and it would buck/jerk like crazy. I fixed that, and it drove in boost nicely finally, but when i hit about 13-14psi, the turbo started to "choke," it didn't jerk or buck like a standard boost leak, it just didn't pull as hard as it should and it definitely didn't sound right. Now, it is starting to choke and stutter at a little lower psi, but it is still not bucking or jerking or hard to control the clutch like a boost leak. I don't have a clue what it could be. HELP

Check coolant temp sensor, plugs, wires, boost leak test again, loose wires etc try those.

Could it have anything to do with the turbo itself?

No I can almost guarantee it's not the "turbo choking". Check plugs, wires and look for loose connections. Do you have a CEL on? Boost leak testers are your friend.
