Hey guys I will be using a bolton .55 BEP housing. I know this chokes on top end but not as bad on a hx40. I will be staying on this housing no plans on changing to T3. I need help deciding which version hx40 would mate the best on the small bep housing. I know the 7 blades are hard to find so for a goal of 500awhp which version of the hx40 do you guys recommend on the small bep housing?
Ive searched but to many threads contra-indicate each other and threads are back in 2009-2012.

8blade 58mm inducer
6blade with 58mm??
6blade with 60mm??

All depends what boost level you're looking to run, but honestly if you never plan on leaving that housing you'll probably be more-satisfied with the 8-blade....they're cheaper, easier to find, and work better at lower boost levels.

Boost level will be 30psi. Running on e85. 8 blade will be fine to reach 500awhp without having it run on its last leg?

You will get a better kick out of the 60mm 6 blade at 30psi on e85.

Another option is the 60mm 8-blade H1E. They're usually hard to come by, but I've seen a few in the classifieds recently.

I vote 7 blade if you can find it, if not then 6blade, i ditched the .55 cause it wasnt putting out enough airflow. I was seeing 60lb per minute at 30psi in bep.55 and now I'm seeing 57lb per min at 26psi i the .70 t3 housing. Injector duty cycles went up also which previously was at 92% at 30psi and now on the t3 it's 92% at 26psi so the thing flows quite alot more then the .55. Granted my airflow isnt calibrated 100%. Spools wastegate open by 4900 though (26psi) instead of 3900 like the .55

You would reach the same mph regardless of what turbo you run. You need to quit speculating and believing that your car can reach certain speeds and airflow numbers just because of the turbo you run. Take it to the track or put it back on the dyno. Then you will know if you are making progress or doing yourself any good since you were last on English Racing's dyno.

Wanna see a log? Pm me your email i need all the help i can get, i know my airflow is a bit inflated but i couldn't reach that quick on the .55 i was hitting 121 same rpm and gear at 30psi. Track friday night if weather permits.

English dyno was at 24psi so I'm quite farther along then when i was there.

The gearing and calculator cannot be changed. How quick you get there yes, but x rpm=y mph in the same gear every time unless you change your gear ratios or tire sizes.

I don't think you want to send me a catalog unless you want me to pick it apart. I just see you talk all this non sense with no actual results to back it up. We thought we were fast too until we went to the track with our fwd cars. What may be fast on the street may not be fast at any kind of track or make impressive power on the dyno.

Way to get off topic... . But really, Come on quick speculating and get some real results if you want to be of any real help or have any sort of actual comparison... .
