Calgary,
Hello guys,
Ive looked for endless hours for an answer i havent found. Im rebuilding my engine with a 60-1 turbo, external wastegate, 650, forged pistons/rods, but when it came down to decide what to get for an intercooler, everything seems on the air.
Ive read about the need for custom end tanks to fit on a 1g (wich is what i have) and that i wont be able to find a piping kit for it.
At this point, the IC is the last thing i need to have my clomplete setup, could some you "mentors" point me out a bit on the right direction?

Im sure this sounds like a re-post, i really just need clarification.

Thanks

For the 1g i would say the SBR Race kit. I got it and i love it!

There are alot of options out there for FMIC, Buschur builds a great one, little higher priced though. The SBR race fmic looks like a great product and has good reviews so far. Dejontool builds a nice fmic. All of these kits come with piping so you wouldn't have to fab your own, and they all are built for the 1G or 2G.
Edit: no matter what you do with your large turbo the fmic is probably going to be to big to just fit in, there will be some trimming of the front bumper involved.

is there any other way than spending 800+ on a kit?

Read through that..many people are getting in on this XSPower intercooler group buy. People are skeptical at first, from their reputation with that shitty turbo, but I haven't heard anything bad about this 'Ebay FMIC'. I would've gone with that if I didn't already buy a JRC intercooler.
