New York BABY!!!!, New York
I'm getting really frustrated with this stupid car for the past months.
I recently rebuilt the moter and had a brand new 2600 act clutch installed at the same time. Everything was fine until the dam clutch pedal wouldn't come back up. After the master cylinder was fixed or replaced, I'm getting other problems.

1. The clutch pedal feels extremely stiff at times and way too soft when it's not too stiff.

2. Having problem shifting.... Very difficult going into gears. I have to use soo much force to throw it into second and then jam it up into first. Not only that, when it is in gear....it idles too low and the car just starts shaking until i give it gas. If i dont give it gas, the car just stalls after a few more seconds.

I've already bled the clutch line 3 times and still no results.

PLEASE HELP..... I'm getting so annoyed of this car and I just dont know what to do.

Okay do you have problems all the time putting into gears? try when it happens again and the clutch gets real lose on you again turn it off put it in first and hold the clutch down if it moves or jerks yeah man its either your clutch isnt worth a shit and you got a defective one or second see if your leaking hydraluic fluid from the main seal i had the same problem

Don't start jamming it into gear. It obviously isn't going in gear very well because something isn't right. All your doing is eating away at your syncro's. Did you get your flywheel resurfaced and stepped to the appropriate height for the 2600 clutch? If not, then that's one of your problems. Your car is stalling because the clutch is dragging. The 2600 is going to make pedal pressure very stiff compaired to the stocker. Also if your getting variable pedal pressure (stiff then soft), then you have air in your clutch line still. You'll have to bleed it again and follow the vfaq to insure your doing it properly. Hope that helps.

did you scheck if your slave cylidner is leaking? you might have to weld the clutch pedal assembly because the 2600 puts so much pressure on everything that the hole that the pin goes thorugh which attaches the master cylinder to the assembly mightve gotten worn and bigger which might cause you having difficulties with shifting as well. you sure your rubber part of the clutch line is not elaking, a 30$ investement into a ss line is worth it trust me. :thumb:

You might want to also considder changing your clutch fork and fulcrum ball. Those act clutches have a bad issue with old forks and balls. Try that and see what happens.
