Help Cant build more than 13psi

Ok so the turbo is a pte 50 trim internally waste gated and was rebuilt, i got it back and it was always set at like 13-15psi. So today I tried to turn the knob on my mbc and it did not build more psi. So I then

- disconnected the mbc (still doesnt build boost)
- made the rod shorter (still doesnt boost)

and here I am stuck with a car slow as hell and cant raise the boost

I havent done a boost leak test, but if I have one it would be small and plus even at that my boost gauge is right before intake manifold and its still reading that low...

The guy that rebuilt my turbo told me I have to go externally gated but shit before I brought it to him it was boosting 21psi fine..

Any input or help would be great, we just cant figure it out, and our last resort will be drop the turbo and see if the door actually fully shuts..

Go ahead and do the boost leak test. Is the MBC correctly installed?

You said you made the "rod" shorter, what rod are you talking about?

Check to make sure your flapper is closing all the way, you can do that without having to drop the turbo.

the rod on the internal waste gate so that it pull and makes the door close, how do you check to see if its closing all the way without dropping turbo?

take the rod off the actuall wastegate door (the flapper). Observe the position fully closed and compare it to the position with the rod on. That is my best guess without droping the turbo

i would have to drop the o2 housing right?
well my next weekend is planned, first gonna do boost leak, then gonna drop o2 housing and see if the door is closing, if it is then i dunno its a magical turbo
