I had a ebay type s bov on. It wasnt working, so I bought a hks ssqv. Yes I do understand I need to get a recirculation kit for it. I vented it to see if it worked. Well guess what, its not really going off either. I adjusted both nuts on both bov's as soft as possible. I got it to open a little while driving. I can tell the bov works but it flutters. Part of the time I can here compressor surge. So I usually never get into boost.

Ok, the deal is, I bought my car with a non turbo intake manifold so it doesnt have its own port for a bov on the manifold. So the vaccum sorce for the bov is T'd off with a few other lines. All of these lines are hooked up to one little port on the intake manifold, and I mean little.

Just a thought, since there all T'd off to one small port. Can it not be pulling enough vaccum in time to open the bov?

I dont know why you soften the spring, thats why it flutters. I believe you need to preload it, thats why 1g BOVs get crushed and added washer inside, so the spring is tougher. You need that BOV to close as quick as possible.

Can you build boost?

N/A intake manifold is fine. I have one of them too. I T-ed the brake booster line and reduced it and t-ed it again for the BOV and Boost gauge,

I soften the spring to see if it would open then because I just had mad compressor surge. I just wanted to see if it would work. I can build boost fine. I'll try to tee it off the brake booster line to see if that works better.
Thanks,

I got the bov to work. I took off all the little lines and small T fittings and put a bigger line and only using 1 T fitting. Everything works great now. Thanks for the idea's.
