What all do I need to do to put it back in place, I think it needs a lock split ring? I'm I correct? And is there any special tools I need? Please I need step by step info on this just got the car LOL

Just popped out? Someone correct me if I'm wrong as I have a 2g, but isnt there a PITA axle nut and cotter pin holding the axle to the wheel hub? I can't image it just popped off. Put up a pic.

You're correct.

If it somehow popped out of the hub, then either you didn't have a cotter pin in to prevent the axle nut from loosening or you didn't have an axle nut on at all. The axle just slides in and out of the hub, then a washer, axle nut, and cotter pin go on.

If it popped out of the transmission, then yes, you're probably missing the cir-clip on the end of the axle which keeps it inside the transmission.
