ok i just got my type s bov and the instructions are in japanese... ther is this black thing in the bov looks like it has to come out right?? i bought the greddy flange from slowboy racing and i dotn see an adapetr for it hwo do install this thing????

Please get familiar with the search feature of the site. It's a good place to start instead of asking a question that's been answered. Anyway, you can see how the type s is supposed to install here http://herpetology.com/dsm/bov.html. The only difference with yours will be the flange will sit inside the IC piping. Don't take anything out of the bov. You'll ruin it.

I don't know what black thing you are referring to, but for the flange, you line up the bolt holes on the BOV and the bolt holes on the flange and bolt them together. If you are using the stock 2g UICP, slide the flange into the BOV hole on the UICP and tighten it down. If its an aftermarket UICP, you need to weld it together. Maybe take a pic of the black thing in your BOV so we know what your talkin about.

You're really going to have to take a picture. I have the Type-S and there is no removable black thing..... What kind of intercooler piping are you using?

ok, i am using the stock inetrcooler pipe.. forget the black thing how do i mount the flange to the stock piping??

Did you buy the universal Type-S?? Or did you get the Type-S kit for our cars??
The universal is just the BOV, but the kit comes with an adapter flange to make the BOV fit the stock piping.

all i did as went ot slowboyracing.com and bought the bov on there and the type s flang

That flange is meant to be welded to an aftermarket, metal upper intercooler pipe. You will need the GReddy flange to install that BOV on your stock pipe. I PMed you. :thumb:
