Wingham,
Hey everyone...
Just figure I would introduce myself and also ask for some help....
I'am a avid car person and really into hot rods, muscle cars etc.. But after awhile all my friends have been getting MX-6, 3.1 Cavys and sunbirds etc... I have a Mustang but not as a everyday driver.

But anyways I really like the Eagle Talons and Eclipse (The Turbo versions..and prefer AWD) Anyways I was wondering....
Which car is quicker stock vs Stock (stock quarter mile times)?
Roughly how much power will the stock block take?
Is a AWD easy to drift...I haven't tried it but I'm not sure how easy it would be.
How much harder is it to get more power out of these cars....I hear they are around 200 which is good but I would it to get running around 300 at the wheels....So I can surprise guys like me that drive stangs...

Any help is greatly appreciated...

I can answer a few questions to get you started.
Most agree that stock bottom can handle about 450 hp - or so.
Yes most stock would be about 200 hp "at the crank".
300 WHP is not overly difficult. My car just dynoed at 290 whp and I have basically the first step upgrade for turbo. (small 16g)
Where I do have AWD, I have never really done anything with drifting so I can't answer that one.

And yes it is fun to surprise the "Stangs". Especially since I drive a 4 door 4cyl grocery getter. :thumb:

Also note, where the Galant VR4 that I drive is basically the same as a 1st gen Eclipse/Talon. The Eclipse/Talon is a bit lighter and all things being equal would be faster than my car.

Thanks for the information dude....and keep on suprising with your rides performance ... :thumb:

Every one of your questions has multiple threads trying to answer them. Please search before posting.

"Which is fastest?" falls into what we call bench racing. We don't do that here.
