Help! 97-99 Conversion Question

Ok, im really confused on the whole side skirt deal. How many pieces are there? What are door caps? What are end caps? Can you do without either or even both? Pics would be great. Thanks for the help.

Each side has 3 pieces. The biggest part is the actual side skirt that stretches from the back wheel well almost all the way to the front. The second part is the part that bolts right up to the inside of the front fender, and is fairly small. The last part is the door cap, and is the part that mounts on the bottom of the door itself and is flush with the sideskirt/fender cap when the door is closed.

There are 3 pieces on each side so 6 in total. The door cap is the plastic piece that attaches to the bottom of the door. Then there is a small piece that is just behind the front wheels and a long piece that extends from about the front of the drivers door to the rear wheel well.
