Help! 95 gsx

My 95 eclipse gsx wouldn't start so I took it to a shop and than they said it was the manifold differetal pressure sensor. I thought those wouldn't play a part of starting.

The MDP is only used by the DSM ECU to check for proper EGR function.

They are either completely clueless or trying to play you for a sucker.

Is your starter cranking?
Lights coming on?
CEL light coming on when trying to start?

The more info the better.
