Look at the tire picture, you will see that the tire is "stretched" over the rim, and that its separated a bit.

Now if Merc is doing this to one of their fastest cars i highly doubt its bad. My mother used to sell them, i have gotten to drive my fair share of Benz's and let me tell you a BIG majority of all the nicer top line cars have a "stretched" tire look on the rims

RPF1s 17x9 weight 16.25 lbs and you can stick a wider tire on there. im no rocket scientist like you but meatier wider tire = more grip i mean i could be wrong you are the expert there with your konigs. Indeed good video but... If you wanna make a statement with a video and having wide rim's and stretched tire's let me tell you guy's for the one's who have no clue what stretching tires is for. Well I know euro car's I think it looks sick on the wider the rim and thinner the tire the better. For drifting it's easier to kick the ass end out and easier to transfer drift's.

I wouldn't call them the coolest wheels ever. But I am glad you appreciate them. I never said anything about your post count either, I am just pointing out that you can't afford new stuff, and this thread is about how hellaflush guys drop more on their rims than most of our DSMs are worth.

Of course...why you would want heavier rims with worse tires over what I have is beyond me. However, not everyone can be intelligent. It's okay, you will grow into those big man shoes you got here.

IMO it's stupid to have non functional tires on rims too wide. It doesn't look good and you are more prone to an accident occurring.

I honestly don't see why people spend so much on the exterior of a car when it will get damaged. $2000/wheel, don't drive in PA . Not to mention having those stretched out tires will damage a rim quicker with every hard bump you hit. It's the same concept as low profile tires but worse. At least a low pro still has a usable sidewall to absorb the impact but when you stretch out the tire you loose absorption in the tire.

stretched tires and being hella flush is appealing to the eye and in my opinion looks good. now as for if i would ever do it again the answer would be no. IF your goals for your car is to look good then do it but if you want practicality and traction then i wouldnt do it. I wouldnt say stretching tires or being hella flush is "dumb" or buying expensive wheels is "dumb" because in my opinion it looks good it might not benefit your car in any way but it looks good to me

A silvia front end ? A fan boy sr swap HELL NO! I have a friend that did that and he's a major fan boy. And big side wall's and small rim? There's 15x8's with 195/60 that's not tall side wall before I had 195/50. There's stretched. You hate to much on something I honestly think you couldn't even try to accomplish at my age. Im happy with the car sorry it doesn't look like a full on jdm clean as hell s13. What I know I can do it bump a wall and not cry over it. 199/60 is a huge sidewall dude. If your drifting you should be running super small sidewalls like 225/30. Keeps from the tire rolling over.

Go play in the snow. And give your car to a homeless person.

Let me make this clear, I HAVE STRETCHED TIRE'S FOR DRIFTING yes I do drift I have friend's that have been doing it for year's now. One actually has a sick G35 that he actually just got back because it was stolen a month ago and he just recieved it yesturday. He has stretched tire's and Flush. I like Flush maybe just enough to roll the fender's. Alot of people like that look, you guy's have fwd and awd car's you wouldn't understand what the point of it it. Stretched tire's on a rwd car make's it so easy to kick it out. As for going jsut for look's. Here's travis deem's he is a fine example of performance and stretched tire's. His car is making 490whp in this video and on the dyno he's made 980whp on high boost tune. $30k motor and stretched tire's. I think you guy's are missing the point im representing.

He drift's in Forumla D recently moved to maine and is a real chill guy. He has 18x12's on the back running 265 is he a idiot? I think not he's been doing it now for 12 year's 6 year's of it when he lived in japan when he was in the military. Ya know what he said about over there and the car scene.
