I am currently in Camp McCrady, near Fort Jackson for re-training.

The facilities here at first glance look real dingy. Then on Day 5 (Friday) we walked into a trailer that had two screens side by side. Each screen was about 14 feet wide by 7 feet tall. On the floor were 8 M16A2 and 2 M4s. I was told to grab the M4. So I picked up. There were two wires coming out of it and a sensor on the front sight. I picked it, it was real light and shorter. It was easier to use. Then screens start up and I am given instructions to gaurd my vehicle check point. Then the screen goes to a video of a check point and a truck is speeding towards me, 1000m. I am at the ready position as the vehicle speeds past the Iraqi police vehicle, the Iraqi engage the enemy, 600m. I pull my weapon up and switch the selector to SEMI. As soon as it reachs the first barrier. I take AIM, 500m. The vehicle has about 10-12 more barriers to zig-zag to get to me. I don't let it take that long. I put my front site on the drivers head and unload on the mother f*cker. I waste a whole magazine on him. The screen pauses and my team scores comes up. I fired 30 rounds. 22 non-lethal hits, 5 lethal hits. 3 misses. (on a moving truck, mind you). The screen picture was so clear, it actually had a little adraline pumping.

Scenario 2:

We are at a market place at one end is Building, the other is us, and make shift market-tents in between us. The crowd becomes irrate and starts yelling curses at us. I keep my weapon ready, but pointed slightly down and on SAFE. There are about 50 people in the crowd. And I spot one with a sling. (indicating he had arms). As soon as he reaches behind his back, I move the selector to SEMI and AIM at his head. Suddenly he pulls out an AK-47. and I pull the trigger, a graphic of blood comes from his head (indicating a lethal shot) but the video keeps going and he begins to fire. I engage 3 more targets. I missed one in the far building. The all are dead now. The crowd from the market place comes out from thier hiding places and I drop my magazine and reload. 30 fresh rounds ready to go. I notice a lady coming to us with a bundle in her hands. I train my weapon on her as I don't know if it's a baby or a bomb. She stops 50m away and lays her baby on the ground. I see the babys movement, and a face. So there is a baby in there, but it still could be a bomb. So I still have it aimed. Suddenly I hear gun fire and the lady scoops up her baby and runs into a shack on the side. The crowd clears and on the opposite end of the road is a Van parked in front of the building. It snuck in, while I was aimed at the lady. I unload another 30 rounds into the van. My team mates only get off like 3-5 shots. 1 didn't get any rounds off, because, he used all of his ammo during the first engagement. I was the only one that thought to reload my weapon. I'm glad none of these guys are going with me. They are going to other units.

Haha, I remember those sims. They have had them for a long time too. My dad was a Marine and he used to take me sometimes for award ceremonies and other stuff. The one at that base had a few handguns and also a rocket launcher too. Good luck over there man. Keep safe.

Why did you shoot at the Van? Did you make P.I.D. of hostile action or hostile intent? Get ready for some EOF bullshit over here. Hell, over here in MNF-W they're wanting traffic to flow with us...right beside our patrols. We're pretty chilled about them passing in the other lane, but I don't want them in between our vehicles. Anyway, good luck where ever you end up. Hopefully if it happens for real, you'll be in a coupla with a 50 or 240, not on foot with your 4.

There was a turrent mounted in the van and it was shooting at us. So I was positive there was hostile intent (actaully that qaulifies as a hostile action).
