head rebuild and install now i have problems

Hey guys just rebuilt the head on my 1992 tsi awd factory 6-4 factory rebuild. I installed the head with arp studs hooked everything up (or so I thought) go to fire the care and the idle takes off to about 4k shut it down adjusted the throttle lines re fired the car and it idles really rough and stalls out. After getting frustrated I started it kept it running and went down the road... it stayed running but very choppy headed home and noticed my temp guage not working it wont build boost I can hear the turbo spool but nothing. I know what your gonna say... boost leak gonna inspect that tomorrow or this weekend but what's with the idle... please help this things almost to craigslist status.. not really but I am very frustrated please help me....


Oh p.s. there is a small plug that has nothing plugged into it right beneath the throttle cable brackets im not sure what it is and im pretty sure I have my ISC hooked up properly

Ha old post..........I just put a paper one on mine cause I had it left over from another 2G head job I did.. Hope it lasts .... Its brand new, but if I remember correctly it came with a metal and a paper gasket in the kit and I used the metal one up last time... Well if I got leaks after this HG job I well check the intake manifold seal first .. Thanks

sorry for the late reply guys been offline for a while it i didnt notice it in my first blt because my regulator was leaking so bad that i couldnt hear anything else i had a buddy that brought over his blt with a good regulator then we could hear it plain as day and i did all the work myself no shop well other than the machine shop that did all the head work
