I'm going to be having my head milled pretty soon and I heard this messes up valve timing since you are bringing the cams closer to the black. Is there anyway to correct this. Few ideas I had was adjustable cam gears or thicker head gasket. Id rather not have to purchase gears. Does anyone know stock head gasket thickness. How much timing maybe affected? Or how to remedy?

Second question is I'm replacing my valve guides and my new ones are ribbed inside unlike the old ones. Is this a problem?

thanks

If you don't get the head milled past the service limit (.012") it won't make a measurable difference. If you do take it past the service limit the difference would be so minute you would have a hard time getting you adjustable cam gears to go that extra 1/8 of a degree.
