If you would like to check to make sure you have equal combustion chambers the best way or should I say a simple way of doing it is this:

Things you'll need:
1.Short bolts with washers (proper size to thread into block deck)
2.Piece of plexi-glass to cover the deck
3.tooth paste or equivilant for sealing
4.syringe that measures in cc's of course:)
5.Some type of injectable medium(I use rubbing alcohol)

Use the tooth paste and make a small bead around the cylinder bores. After you have the plexi-glass bolted on the block take a spare needle from the syringe heat it untill it will melt a hole through the plexi-glass over each combustion chamber. Then bing each cylinder up to TDC you can do 1 and 4 and then 2 and 3. Record the ammount of cc's injected into ecah bore and then do the same on your cylinder head. Valves closed, and spark plugs in. I just used my ARP's and some additional nuts and washers to attach the plexi-glass to the head. Then using sand paper carefully sand away at the bowl area to achieve the equal 64cc measurement for each combustion chamber.

Sound a little tedious I know, but I was never very good with math and this is a solid, verifyable way to know exactly where you stand. I hope that helps. I also have some pics that I could post of a guy from my local car club doing this to his DSM if anyone wants a better idea on how to do this.
Merry Christmas
