:banghead: Everything is undone I've replaced my head gasket before and the head came right off but this time it wont budge not even a little as if its still bolted down ill post pics here in a second but so far iv tried...
-The intake mani is off
-I even removed the ARP studs
-blew air into every hole
-tried using a pry bar on the corners
-had 2 other people try
-asking it nicely
-wooing it with new upgrades

the only difference from last time is...
-a composite HG instead of steel one
-I took the cams out
also they were at 3 o'clock instead of TDC(I wasn't thinking)
is that bad?
-took off the ARP washers in the (inside bolts to outside) order instead of what your supposed to do...my bad. please let me know ideas and if what I did wrong is the problem I have to send it in ASAP.

I don't know why but its not letting me post pics but you literally can see where the head meats the block all the way around there are no attatchments left that I know of.

Give the thermostat housing or if it's removed just that area (minimal chance at any plausible cracking) a good wack (slightly upward) with a rubber mallet. Then use your manliness to lift it up.

It shouldnt be hard to remove with the studs out. It's most likely material from the composite gasket that's making it stick to the block.

Rubber mallet + some grunting should easily get you there.

With the ARP washers out of the head, can you see a small gap between the stud and the head casting?

Also it may just be stuck on the head alignment dowels., try to rock it from intake to exhaust side.

Il try it thanks and what you mean a gap? I took the studs out hopeing it would come unstuck theeyre the right size ARP's

you could also try threading a long bolt into an accessory hole and tapping upward on the bolt. Do this gently as to not damage the head and when it pops loose you now have handles to lift the head up.
