Head cut / decking effect on cam degree?

How much does combined decking and head milling effect cam timing? This link seems to say that .025 off would retard the cam or cams 1 degree. Would the effect be constituent for a single cam motor vs duel cam? As the angle of the belts or chains are different.

"This is the before and after shot of the Eclipse cam gears alignment. The cam gears advanced 1 crank degree with the true TDC and the cam gears no longer line up perfectly. I was expecting it to be retarded since the head and block have been shaved. 1 crank degree advanced would roughly mean .025" taller deck height, which may be accountable d/t the stock vs MLS gasket thickness difference but what about the resurface job?."

I am actually working on a single cam g54b 2.6

This is a good reason to switch to an adjustable gearset, and invest in a degree wheel. Seting the cams up properly will make a difference in how the car will ultimately perform.
