I am to the point were cams is my next upgrade i have a frank level 3 20g on my car right now at 22psi on pump gas. I had my head off about 1000 miles ago had it decked, valves ground, new seals, guides. I reinstalled with felpro hg and arp studs but left stock springs and retainers. I would really like to throw a set of kelford's in but iv been told on stock springs not a good idea so if i was to pull my head to put in springs would it need to be re decked again? Is there a better idea for a cam for my set up maybe? Should i just use something to pressurize my cylinder and do springs on the car maybe?

Any cam worth while in your setup is going to require a better spring. For the 20g setup the biggest crane with a set of kiggly streets would be ideal. You would also not need to redeck your cylinder head if your are just going to swap springs and cams.

Well i am in the process of building a 2.3 stroker for my car but it wont be finished for a while. Maybe drop in some fp2's for the time being? This motor wont see over 7k rpm so im not to worried bout floating.

No need to pull the head, there are a couple of tools (that I know of) that will get the job done with the head installed.

1. You could stuff some rope in the cylinder, rotate the cylinder to TDC to hold the valves in place, and figure out some way to lock the crank in place. Then use a Lisle valve keeper removal tool (the small one) to pop the keepers and valves out.

2. Rent or buy one of these monster's. STM: BLUE POINT UNIVERSAL VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR TOOL

As for which cams are best for your setup, I think a "mild" 272 would suit you well. Something like the HKS (or DKS) 272. They would give you some top end but typically don't require upgraded springs.
