I am about to reassemble my 7 bolt rebuild and I have had some concerns with the machine work done. The quality was good but the amount of material removed from the block and the head for the resurface is what I am most concerned about. I know I will prob want a MLS gasket but I do not know what thickness to get. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

the next question is "HOW" was the head and block milled/surfaced?

you say the quality is good, but what do you base this on?

.013 is not bad, so about any stock replacement gast will be fine.
.013 is worth about -2cc

your surfaces should look about like this

if your surfaces look like the first pic in this, get the milling redone

yea, the surface of the head is nice and shiny like the ones in the link.
