not sure what to do with this problem or where to start when my car is cold it will not idle or start with out feathering the pedal but one the temp warms up it is fine have put a new tps on it didnt change anything at all i know the cat has a sensor called throttle body linkage senbsor that is bad and i cant seem to find one at any parts store around so if any body can help me out that would be great

having exact same issue, on cold start I will have to feather the gas or the car will die out, after a few seconds I will just get it in gear and she will be good to go, the car will idle fine after getting up to normal operating temp. are you throwing a CEL? I will get one after a few seconds of the initial RPM drop. Also when feathering the gas the vacuum goes to zero but doesnt boost untill dring.. Also do you have a A/F gauge installed I dont so i will also benlooking into that to make sure thats not an issue.I dont have a scanner to check the code but will be looking for somewhere with one and will update.

Had a simialar problem with another 2ga I had and it turned out to be the starter.
But check your isc, spark plugs, wires & etc the small things first.

Either ISC, FIAV. If the TPS is set wrong that could cause it too. How are the BISS screw/seal, and throttle cable/throttle stop? If any of that stuff is not adjusted right it can cause this no start when cold, mis-fires, etc.

I can't see it being the starter as it starts and turns over first time but dies out without gas.

Well the 2ga had a snapped belt and lets just it was a poor example of a dsm, complete hack job. But I'm not stating it's starter just throwing my experience out there. :D

Ok so a little update..the previous owner had the BOV spray to the atmosphere and left the hose that's suppose to recirculate just sit open Yesterday when I did my plugs i decided to reconnect the bov to the intake and noticed the previous owner had a bunch of sensors disconnected from the intake and thermostat housing that I reconnected thinking that was a good thing.. Wrong, I started it up fine like normal with the feathering and then just taking off but this time it wouldn't hold an idle at all and ran like crap. So I pulled over undid what I thought was right and she idled perfect. Also with the plugs connected the boost gauge on the console worked but was way off.. So should I leave the BOV as is and just put a breather on the intake or what??

im in the same boat, do you have any misfire with it? i try to hold it at 2000/2500rpm and you can hear small back fires. as soon as the temp gauge starts to move its just fine. even after i drive it for a while i still need to let it sit and idle for 30 seconds or so even when the temp gauge is showing it at normal running temp. if i try to hit the gas it just dies.

Just got all my codes and they are

13- IATS, 14-TPS, and
25- barometric pressure sensor?? What's this?
So the first 2 look like possible solutions but I am not sure Which should be first. Also how much concern if any should I really have over these codes?? I just want to be able to idle in the morning

What would me disconnecting the battery do?? The car is running ok as is, should I do it still?

Disconnecting the battery for a min or two resets the ecu but if it's running okay I would leave it alone.

Does it feel like it chokes? And then dies? If it does this happens to me when my ecu resets and I go in to reload my tune at first start up but not after that. Be sure to set up everything in your link.

I had a similar problem when I first got my dsm, wouldn't start on the cold mornings but then when it warmed up in the afternoon it would fire right up and be fine. Drove me insane! Turned out that my Alternator/Choke fuse was blown and barley touching. Switched it out and never happened again. Crazy huh? here's my old thread about it when it happened:
