Having Major Problems!

Ive tried to figure this out on my own. Thought it might be a lose intercooler pipe but it wasnt. I cant boost past 6psi and my vacum only goes to 10. I think it might be the timing. If it jumped a tooth or 2 would it do that. I runs fine just isnt any fast and has bad vacum and low boost. Also it could be the intake manifold gasket? I did a boost leak test and couldnt find any leaks around the normal spots but i can hear it leaking on the drivers side down behind the manifold but it sounds like its coming from down along the firewall and not under the intake manifold. Are there any other things on the drivers side behind the motor that would cause these sympoms? Thanks

I'm no expert with 4G63's, but it sounds like you might have a loose vac line. Have you checked the brake booster line?

It sounds like its coming more from the intake. Lower down. And that line looks fine and nothing was leaking out of it.

You need to find and fix the boost leak. Most likely that is the source of your problems.

You might be in my shoes. I have a cracked head and it's getting replaced as I type this. Do a boost leak test and if that fails do a leak down test. It might not hurt to get your head looked at also.

It doesnt smoke, burn oil, or leak coolant. And never over heated

Well i finally got the car up on a jack and went under and stuck my hand up by the intake mani with the car started and sure enough it pulled my hand in. I got it all apart. Im not sure if i should go with a mitsu metal gasket or a felpro. I want the mitsu one but its gonna take a awhile to get, unlike the autozone one that i can go pick up tomorrow and have the car done

Get the mitsu gasket. The fel-pro gaskets aren't very good.
