Have a question about turbo pics inside

Ok i did some trading around and i got ahold of this turbo i;m trying to find out specs on it and if its even any good for my car i have a 2.3 stroker 6 bolt its 60 over i have the head done -oversized farrea valves havent got cams yet i got this thing and a bunch of other sh!t i traded for an old beat up nissan truck i had 400$ in so i couldnt really go wrong
any help would be appreciated the tag on the turbo says super t70 and thie kid told me he got it from slowboy a few years back -never used it i have it sitting beside one of my big 16 evos in the pics

Well i appreciate everyones honesty i know its not a 1200$ turbo and its not going to make
1500 hp i was just curious i have several dsms and other cars and projects and a few dsm parts cars and i do a lot of trading around i just need to find a good clutch and flywheel setup cams and a turbo and i can finish putting together my 1g stroker build up anyone want to trade for a nice t-70

Get rid of that crappy turbo.You don't want to fu*k up your stroker.Sell it on ebay,save some money and get a nice gt35r or gt40r!!!! cheap things leads you to spend a lot more money in the future!!!!....Ive been there and already got a taste of it

For someone who is complaining about the responses in this thread, you haven't contributed much either. Part of OP's question was if it was good to use on his 2.3L. EVERY DSMer on this site tries to look out for each other and we all know that it's a crapshoot when it comes to eBay turbos, hence the reason why everyone raised the big red flag as soon as it was posted. While I do agree that many have selective reading, it's tough NOT to post these types of responses when someone posts up. I for one would hate to see someone use a junk (for arguements sake, the potentially junky) turbo and know that I didn't say anything about it originally.

Weather the turbo is good, or junk isnt my place to tell him. I don't know anything about turbos and think that some people could be more reasoning than just blatantly saying It's junk get rid of it!. HE clearly asked for the specs of the turbo several times and all anyone said was something other than what he was seeking. I know that people are here to look out for one another and to help others understand but I find it to be very poor for people to just go around the point of the post just to put in their $0.02.

I guess you missed thie point of the comment I made. If I asked what color the paint is of my car and someone said "get rid of it thats ugly" I do think I would have to ignore anything that person ever said from then on because it had nothing to do with my question. Try to follow along with what is going on and quit leading people off without first answering their question.

Something like... That turbo is a "name here" and is not a very good turbo, it is a generic knock off turbo found on ebay and some japanese sites. The turbo has "size" compressor wheel and "type" housing. I would recommend using "such" and try to get rid of that generic turbo and make a little money back. .... would have been a very easy, simple answer to his question.

Not sure if your saying knock off wastegates are worthless, but anyway I've been running a knockoff tial 38mm for 2.5 years now, zero problems, holds up very well, rock solid boost.
Just thought I'd contribute. But yeah to the OP: Turbo + manifold back to ebay or someone you don't like.

Yeah i'm most likely going to pawn it off i was just curious about it like it being a 70 trim what other turbos it would be comparable to i know its not as good as a gt35 or gt40 or anything like that i'm just curious i'm not a noob i been messing with dsms on and off for 6 or 7 years i just never had a turbo like that before and wanted a little info thats all i have the money to buy whatever turbo i want thats no prob hell i got 6 dsms right now not tomention other toys i just wanted a little knowledge on it

Just make SURE it's an authentic GT35R. Here's how reliable the eBay 35R proved to be:

It died in 400 miles, and it turned out to be a journal-bearing turbo. Yay.

my buddy has the same turbo on his built 1g and it didn't last too long. maybe like 5 months. but the other stuff looks like a fair deal.

Yes that is a SSAutochrome EBAY Turbo!
If you decide to use it good luck and i hope it stays together!
Also the outlet is not usually the same sizes like Turbonetics, Garrett, Schwitzer and others!

crappy turbo or not, if the truck you traded was a big a pos as you say it was then i think you got a pretty dam good deal! if you have like 6 other dsms your really not losing much. let us kno what you decide to do with it!
