Has anyone repaired a stuck pushbutton on the dash?

Well I'm workinv on the inside today and my fog light push button is stuck in the on position. Not a bad thing but I would sure like to be able to turn them off if I was just parked. Any help is appreciated. I can't feel the spring load under the button. Thanks!

I wasnt suggesting that all i was saying is i may have one, if its broke its broke i cant see how it could be fixed i could be wrong whenever i have a bad switch i replace it, unless it can be fixed? all these years never fixed one, just got one that was working.

OH I see. I thought maybe you knew a trick to get it working again. Like back in the day, you could take like the window switches apart on older cars and get them working again.

Well replace or repair either is ok with me. I've torn apart small switches before but it feels like the return spring may be broke. It won't pop back out. Thanks for the advice and if you do have a switch that would be real easy.

Yes Fog Light switch. I am not going to let this bother me since it is in the on position but would be nice to have it work, because everything else does. Im kind of that way, like my stuff to function correctly. Thank you!

^^^this. I had the same problem with my fog light switch not staying engaged. a quick search later I found the write up on vfaq.com. works like a charm. of course the best thing to do is replace the switch but it dosent bother me to pull the switch out by hand.

I have tried to pull it out, but maybe the previous owner glued the darn thing cause its not cooperating! I will check Vfaq's. Thank you.

You'd be better off getting one used. JNZ Tuning lists them new for a smidgen over $50 and you'd probably want to contact them to make sure they can still get them. The OEM part number is MB522126. It's a bit pricey for a simple switch you can find in a junkyard for a few bucks.
