Has anyone moved their seat tracks back

I am getting ready to purchase a 2003 spyder. I though that the leg room would be the same as the room on my 1998 RS, only to discover that they took 6 inches off the leg room. My RS has 150,000 miles on it, so it's in need of replacing and I really want a rag top. I miss my 1988 Pulsar with T tops, but I'm 6' 2" so I am really going to miss my leg room. Has anyone moved the front seat tracks back , how did it work out, and how'd you do it?
