I remember getting some 1watt resistors from radio shack... and if you cannot get one there try searching for digi-key on google... they have everything you could ever need to make anything out of electronic components.

I really just wanted something locally to buy. I went to radio shack and they only have the resisters in 1/2 watts and in 1/4 watts. You don't think that I can run 2 resisters on one wire so it supplies the 1 watt?

I went to radio shack and I confirmed that I can put 2 1/2 watt resistors on the wire instead of 1 1watt. But I have another question. How do I connect the actual wires to the back of the s232 port?

That diagram is for a 1g. 2g's are OBD-II and use a different cable. It's easier just to buy those.

I make 1g cables all the time though.
