Has anyone ever used an EVO 9 Fuel pump, and at how much boost/power?

They will both work on 1g/2g. The evo9 pump does flow a tad more than evo8. the evo8 does have a pressure relief that begins to open at 66-68psi i believe. I run the evo8 pump and rewired it is still pretty quiet!
 
I am pleased with my evo9 pump and as far as I can tell I do not have overrun issues but I also have not rewired it. I picked my pump up for ~$35 shipped IIRC which is why someone might choose not to go with a Wally, it is also nearly silent.
 
hear are the flows #s of evo8 compared to stock and walbro. the evo9 is said to flow equal to slightly more than a 190lph. evo8 flows slightly less. here are stock and rewired flows as well

just wanted to know if the evo ix will fit a 1G 2WD without any modifications to the pump and attachments.

Installing an Evo 8/9/10 OEM fuel pump in a 1G is the same process as installing a Walbro.

Just to give you guys a heads up, I recently recieved my Evo 10 pump in the mail. Will start a thread with some photos soon. Very interesting. This thread also has more info.
 
I got my Evo Ix fuel pump today and i noticed a small hole in the top left. The part numbers match up for an Evo IX pump but i thought that these pumps didn't have a relief valve like the evo 8 or am i crazy and this hole is something else.

I don't remember if mine had that little hole in the top. If the part numbers match up though I wouldn't worry about it. The evo9 pumps do not have a relief valve. It may be that the 9s use the same body as the 8s or any other number of pumps and simply do not have the internal valve. Personally I would not put a screw in it.
 
Did you match up the part#s to verify its a EvoIX pump? I know thats not yours in the 2nd pic, but if its green, its an Evo8 pump. Im pretty sure the 9s are gold, but not 100% sure.
Evo8 # is Denso 195130-3360
 
hey i just installed my evo 9 f.p today and too it for a spin i noticed it would drop below target idle to about 500rpm and the bout back and stay at 750-760rpm. im planning on getting a afpr but is this a sign that the pump is too much for the stocker? thnx

I'm running the same setup on the stock FPR with no issues at all.

I Was told the Evo IX fuel pump is OK with out FPR, anything bigger and you will need one.
I love my fuel setup, stock evo IX injectors and pump. Works great on 20psi of boost.


Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Mine is rewired also, make sure you rewire the pump if you havn't already.
 
the evo IX FP flows about 200-210 LPH ..... i have one and its great...

running on 22 psi w/ evo injectors as well...
 
no its not rewired but im afraid if i do it will flow more and get worse than it is now... or would the rewire help it? (i actualy have everything i need to rewire as well just havent gotten around to it..)
