Has anyone ever used the SSAutochrome Exhaust Manifolds?

Do a search on them here and you will learn real quickly that they are crap. They have had to change their name on eBay a few times now becuase of such bad customer service and products.

Exhaust and turbo components are to important to take the cheap route, save a little more and get yourself a real manifold from one of the vendors on this site.

I bought my turbo from them and it is great, but I do agree with everyone else about the manifolds. There are sites all over the net that talk about how crappy their manifolds are. They don't make the turbos, so you are safe there. The sell the real mistubishi turbo's.

woooaaaaahhh now. I'm just going to toss my .02 cents in here. Although SSautochome eats sooo much ass.... I happen to be doing good with their manifold right now. I am going to be upgrading to a DNP, but I've had it for over a year boosting and beating the crap out of it.... turning the thing Red hot from richness... and its still working. When I recieved mine, what I did was resurfaced the flange so it wouldnt leak and wrapped it in DEI Exhaust heat tape. Of course you get what you pay for. I have the BEST set up too.... SSAutochrome manifold and Slowboyracing's warping 7cm gasket.... yey!...NOT. I'm just waiting for the manifold to crap on me and the gasket to warp and snap my studs so I can feel like crap. But if you haven't owned one... then I think you don't have much say. But in conclusion... I had luck with my manifold, but definatly get something better , just port out you 2G manifold or get an evo III manifold.

it still makes me sick that i passed on the DNP sale for tubular mani's for 299

i am running an XS power (i think it is the same as ssautochrome) manifold, evo III 16g turbo, and o2 dump and i have had it for about two months and no problems plus i bought the turbo, manifold, dump pipe, a braided oil feed line 2 different kinds of gaskets, and all the mounting hardware for 600 bucks and it was all new. The only problem i had was one of the header tubes curved up to soon after the engine block and i had clearance issues with the stud coming out of the block, but i just cut the stud shorter and it was fine. Well worth the money. When the turbo spools Its like holy sh*t. Plus its all stainless steel and the Honda guys get boners over tubular shiny things.

So i dont know how there old stuff is but im happy with my purchace. But i think there is a rule on this forum than says you are only supposed to give your first hand experience with products.

I'm sorry my friend, but if you bought a 16G from them, you actually bought a "EVO III GT". Which is a cheap imitation turbo from China, NOT made by MHI. Read this link for more info:
