Has anyone ever installed an EVO III 16g turbo into their 2g

Has anyone ever installed an EVO III 16g turbo into their 2g with the the 2g install kit. Could you please tell me before i buy it... am i going to run into any problems such as the turbo not lining up right or pipes needing to be trimmed or any fabrifications or the whole thing being a big pain in the ass????

Only about half of everyone who buys upgraded turbos! Dont worry, its very common, and the 16g is a great turbo... Providing you have a 4g63 in your car because your car says n/t next to your name

nah, just get the right install kit.. i highly recommend the 16g and install kit from hahn racecraft. Its harder than replacing with a bolt in turbo (i.e. another stock or a t-28), but you shouldnt run into any problems installing it.

If your installing the turbo on a 4g63, the install kit is over-rated. I bought it, but looking back I wish I didn't. All you need is a j-pipe from any 1g turbo. For the water lines, you can either bend yours to fit (not hard at all) or get some from a junkyard or ebay. The oil return line will fit, but the oil feed line needs to be modified, or just get a stainless one which will fit no matter what.

Overall, you can get the kit, but IMO, it is over-rated. I wish I would have saved the $$ and done it myself.
