Looks like the bar is too low. Is that the highest it can be adjusted?

I agree that it appears quite low. Is it possible to move that bottom bar back to the lower mount for the seat belt instead of forward on that bolt you have it on? That would kick the horizontal bar up slightly. Just a thought.

yeah thats the highest it can go, yes it does look to low, my next option is to

weld longer tabs on to the bar till is high enough or extend the rods.

what does everyone think?

i tried to mount the rods in other positions and it doesn't not work its meant for where is it now.

My opinion would be to just extend the bars on each side.

yeah thats what i will be doing next week, i went to lowes befor and got my self some round tubing, i will be chopping right down the middle of each one and adding about 5"+ on each, i will post back when done.

I'd just use longer bars to get it to sit a few inches higher.

Who made that for you?

ebay made this bar LOL.

yeah thats what i figured with loner bars illl get away with it, im thinking instead of chopping this bars,

i will cut 2 equal bars and just weld nuts on each end to be able to screw in the bolts with the kit and call it a day.

for the price i couldn't be happier, maybe some people don't want work after buying something, but i don't mind, having to adjust this bars.

I would just unhook the current bars, rotate the harness bar to where you want it and measure that length and call it a day. Oh yeah, don't forget to powder coat them to make sure they all match! :)

I would want to know if the bar is more horizontal if you can get the seats to fold down underneath them.

I could duplicate those bars in a longer length for you if you want. Just shoot me a PM if you're interested.

actually i've been looking for a harness bar myself, and i found some, but then when i saw the prices, i just said that i would rather build my own LOL, or u can just take it to an exhaust shop, all you would have to buy is the bar and they size things up for you and weld it in

why not use shorter bars and connect them to the rear shoulder belt lower mounting point?

why not use shorter bars and connect them to the rear shoulder belt lower mounting point?

i was going to have paul make me the bars, but i thought i would just go to town with it, im adding to the bars, and im also making another set off bars for the points SIRNIXALOT just mentioned.

im going to bolt the drivers seat so i get it right where i want it.
pics will come as i work gets done.

hey every one so i stopped being lazy today and got out there and did some work.

i measured how much i wanted to go up with the bar then i mines the bar length and i was left with over 6".

i cut 2 6" 1/2 diameter tub and welded them and this is the outcome, they still need to be clean and be sent to the powder coated, gas finished on the welder so i had to weld with self shielding wire.

and i also had the seats in to test fit them.

Perfect! We just need to get those made from one piece now that we know the length from your support poles.

I'm going to be picking up the JMFab one off one piece custom 2G harness bar that bolts directly into the top of the stock seat belts! Whenever I get it I'll be sure to post pictures. It actually leaves the back seat as usable also.

Picture of it in my friend's car:
