There are 25 different 50 trim models out being made by all different companies, and thats great. I would like to know wich one undeniably has the quickest spool rate. Please dont waste internet space telling me this is a silly question cause actually I am sure alot of people will click this thread looking for the answer also. Thanks.

Probably the one with the smaller turbine wheel which also causes higher back pressure and less top end....?

since when does my setup have any thing to do with the efficiency of a turbo? I wanna know if you put all the different turbo's (50 trim flows 47 lbs min) on the same car (dont care wich one, even if it was on a motorcycle) wich one would spool soonest?

I would call (PTE) Precision Turbo Engine myself and ask them what they think. The turbo maker knows the in's and outs of there turbos and can answer any question you may have and give you a turbo for your aplication. I do agree there are so many options for each turbo what is right for you may not be for someone else it all depends on your pocket book, and your HP goals. Happy hunting :thumb:

 Gee thanks alot, just one I was set on a 50 trim, now I do not know what 50 trim to get. Anyone give me some advice? I want somethin with top and, and spools like a big 16g maybe?. I was gonna go to AGP, any thoughts?

a 50 trim that has great top end and spools like a 16g would be a 50trim on a 2.4l

You cant expect a bigger turbo like the 50 trim to still have great top end and have full boost by 3000rpms. Full boost before 4000rpms is plenty fast, once you drive it for a day you wont notice it/care about it anymore.

mm ya that is what I am talking about, about 4 grand, but i want to make sure it has the top end and boost will not fall off at 20-25 psi

It's not like 1 companies 50 trim is going to be 10x better then another companies...Some have subtle differences but In general they are all the same. Whichever one you choose I'm sure you will be happy with it. :thumb:

So what's the smallest turbine that comes with a 50 trim?

oh and I thought the wastegate is supposed to relieve back pressure?

AGP Turbo full Garrett kit with the 50trim in the .48a/r. Full boost at 3500 and runs 11's on pump gas in full weight 2g AWD.

OK, a .48 A/R will spool faster but will be more of a restriction on the top end.

A .63 will spool a bit slower but have better top end.

These threads border on unreadable the hands down fastest spooling 50 trim turbo would have a dual ball bearing CHRA. From either innovative or single ceramic from turbonetics.

Mods is there really any reason for this gayness to still be open

#### t25, I would toss a whipple on it if they made one, LOL. Automatic gsx makes it hard to get off the line, any ways I am lookin at 50 trims, and since there are so many I was just tryin to figure out if one has chractericly been known to spool sooner than others, that's all.

This is rediculious.

Instead of asking this question, you need to do some research on turbos to understand what effects spool.

The fastest would be one with a tiny turbine housing (probably a .48), a GT series turbine wheel, and a ball bearing CHRA. Does anyone make this combo? I don't know.

In general, the ones with similar parts are going to have similar spools. If a couple of turbos all spool within 100-200 rpm of each other, there is no way to tell which is faster without installing all of them on the same car to test them.

You are ridiculous. What is the problem? Dont perticipate in threads you dont want to be in.

This question would've been better if asked in the newbie question, it seems as though your biggest concern with a large turbo is how fast it spools  You dont get a large turbo for how fast it spools, you get it for the great top end. Unless you want to pay some extra $$$ to get ball bearing you wont get a 50 trim that spools significantly faster than other similar turbos.

Seriously, this question is way too open-ended.

Every 50-trim will probably spool within 100-300 rpms of each other gievn the exact same setup.

Instead of asking this question why don't you look for people with similar setups as you want and find out when there turbo spools.

You will never get a concrete on answer on this because everyones setup is a little bit different.
