I installed my intake!!! yay!!! i feel so cool now, i can say i am a dsm tuner. its injen pipe w/ a k&n filter up top from ebay. cant wait for the type-s and gauges in mail to get here...

Replace that leaking 2G BOV as soon as you can. Get a used 1G BOV and you'll notice a huge difference. Your car will actually hold boost.

when i frist got my type s i recirculated and it stuttered. the vacumm line was a little kinked and that took care of the problem...my gas milage went down like 40m/tank. i recirculated and now u can barley hear it. just a little chirp.

The 1G BOV is actually very loud recirculated. I have been in some vented cars that are about the same as my recirculated 1G. Go figure.

Just to be clear, do NOT vent to the atmosphere. Its not worth it unless you have a blow-through setup. If you really want to get noticed get an external wastegate dump.

He would be referring to a GM MAFT setup, with the new GM maf between the bov and throttle body, not before the turbo...the air being compressed and released is not metered yet, so the car wont have problems idling and running rich

Yea I don't like the sound of it either. I want to switch back over to hks, but then $250 for a little sound is a lotta money.

For you people going HKS: Get the recirc kit.

Trust me, I've had it venting, and it sucks.

Installing an intake can be a PITA. lower rad hoes didn't want to clear the inlet pipe. shift levers came close to banging against the intake. had to cut metal out of the frame. had to loose the lower finder splash guard.
