Did something to my BOV and now need some info.

ok first i have stock pipping with the turbo xs rfl... ok what i did was i disconnected the vaccum line that goes from the intake manifold to the top of the bov (the nipple). so now i have the hose connected to the intake manifold in my hand and i close the hole so there no vaccum leak. and left it open on the BOV. so now when i rev or drive, i hear the fluttering by the seagulls. i love that sound alot more then the normal pssst from the aftermarket bov. is it ok if i leave it that way? im sure its not ok but what makes it not ok? i noticed that the noise is now coming from my K and N air filter from my turbo... i just need some input on this. i dont want to damage anything but i do like that sound alot better. i took a drive and my car seemed to drive like it did when it was connected the right way. my aftermarket boost gauge read the same and all. thanks in advance!

put that vac hose back on NOW. That is how your BOV opens!!! That fluttering sound you are hearing is compressor surge. Hook it back on now before you have to buy a new turbo.

wow, you put an aftermarket BOV that can't be recirculated on the stock UICP, and then disconnected the hose to the BOV....

Get off his case people. We all at one point in our lives did stupid things.

As for the BOV thanks for hooking it back up the pressure waves slamming into your turbo could have damaged it.

Is your BOV recirculated? if not you may think about hooking it back up.

yeah its always been recirculated back to the intake, i cut the horn off of it and had the hose fit. thanks crankbender.
