Had a Wreck. Need Input.

Well guys, haven't even had my DSM for 6 months and I get T-boned. Even the police report says she made an illegal U-turn into me. I have liability and she kinda has insurance. She is covered in her vehicle(which she wasn't driving, she was driving an old vehicle of her mother's) and her mother doesn't have insurance on that particular car.
Good news is, I THINK that her insurance is going to cover her. But her insurance is one of those over the telephone/ through the mail insurance companies that don't do credit checks.

I just don't know what to do. I know they are going to total my car. She destroyed my door and driver's side fender. She event bent up the A pillar and cracked the windshield.
When she hit me, the car went into the curb which screwed up the rear suspension and destroyed the right rear wheel.

I want my car back. Also, i think it's only fair to give me enough money to fix my car because now its going to be a rebuilt wreck. I think I should get depreciation money and money for my inconvenience. But insurance companies aren't usually fair.

Any insight or tips would help.

I don't care if you were even joking when you said this.

This would be one reason why everyone else's insurance rates go up. I know your car got messed up, but don't even consider insurance fraud.

Dont blow your head off even if you have liability insurance,you're covered against un insured or un licensed motorists as long as you're not at fault.So you need to contact your insurance,but if they do total it then you will have the option of buying it back from them for cheap.

Only thing I can think on that bent "A" pillar is that it did pull some of the body up where there would be a slight tweak in the frame.

Yet, a frame stretcher should easily pull that one out-amazing on what body shops can do to bent metal.

Might cost you a penny, but you'd get your 1G back on the road looking like it was never hit...and be proud of owning a tradition such as that vehicle.

They said they aren't sure if they are responsible for covering the damage!!

They said they will cover it if she can show proof of her primary vehicle being in the shop.

WTF DOES IT MATTER??!!

I'm going to do everything I can to get it back on the road....
My buddy has a...'97 or maybe '98 NT Eclipse with 150K on it. Said he would sell it to me for around 2k...that's always an option...

I just want my car back..

Dude if that person has full coverage on some car, then she has full coverage on any car she drives. I carry full coverage on my DSM and I've asked progressive if I'm covered when I'm driving other people's cars they said I am.
You may want to think of the TV lawyer at this time, at least get a free opinion from one.
Did you contact your insurance company to see whats up with an uninsured motorist claim?
God what a cluster #### seriously i won't be downgrading my policy anytime soon. Best of luck to you again.

True, does your policy have the added policies of uninsured and underinsured motorists along with your liability converage?

This might have to head to small claims court since you have a copy of the police report to show as evidence of the accident.

randomhero, contact your insurance and tell them that person's insurance is dodging you. And since they wont pay it that your insurance is obligated to pay under your "uninsured motorists" part of your coverage. Your insurance company won't like this and will threaten to sue the other company, who will in turn fix your car so they don't get dragged into a lawsuit. If their insurance decides not to pay, your insurance might pay for the repairs, and then just sue the lady. Either way you should be covered. And if not, threaten to drop your insurance company.
p.s. it's sad to see such a sexy 1g go.

Yeah, I have uninsured motorist coverage, but in the state of Alabama it only covers medical cost. Not car damage.
