So I bought this car to save it from a ricey death, now in its previous life it had what looks to be interior and exterior neon of some sort and gauges. The wiring behind the radio is a mess and now suddenly I don't have interior lights. I.e. gauge cluster. My hazards work when I hit the button, but turn signals don't work when using the stick

Any advice on a diagram for the wiring back there?

...But I can turn my brights on with the stick... I don't do much electrical so this is really a cry for help.

On 2gs they're known for breaking really easy the blinker lever breaks internally just remove it and open it and you'll see a Lil small black plastic tip broke that actuates the contacts for the left and right blinker.

Ok, well I took that apart and it looked ok, put it back in and the turn signals work. However I still lack power to the gauge cluster, climate controls, and lighter. radio works fine, all exterior lights are fine, mirror reading lights are fine. All fuses for gauges, lighter, and lights are good.

I returned a 1996 Chevy S-10 from the "Jaws of Rice Mods" - by taking out ALL of the added BS that was installed and got it back to stock form. It has interior lights, stupid alarm system, nasty "spider web" speaking wiring hack job under the dash and the similar. Took me a couple of days to do this, but when I sold the vehicle three years later to my father, to him it look like a real nice "city truck" for him to drive.

Trick is to understand color code on the wires: Simply match up the wires that has the same color codes (like black/yellow) and reconnect them together, preferably with soldering tasks and cover the solder joins with shrink tube.

Do wire tuck and dressing and use zip ties with the excess cut off to look clean and professional.

Can be done. good luck - DSM
