I'm about to put a built 2.3 stroker in my '91 gsx. Short list of my mods:
HKS 272/272
Crower springs and ret.
1mm over SS valves
Race ported and polished head
Stroker bottom end 2.3
decked block and head
1000cc injectors
2 walbro pumps
3" turbo back ss exhaust
Greddy e-manage with all the supporting hardware/software
Aeromotive FPR.
SCE new Titan o-ringed head gasket. I think I'm one of the first to run this.
SlowBoy Race FMIC
MAFT 3" blow.
ect.ect.

I have the Slowboy GT14 with the td04s housing. Should I run this turbo with the Mitsu 7cm exhaust side or get a bigger hot side? Can I get a bigger hot side for this turbo? I've tried talking to Slowboy but their customer service sucks! My goal is 550-600whp on race gas.

I've never had any bad experience w/ Slowboy CS. They're defidently the ones to talk to, so I'd say keep trying them.

On a side note,
1000cc Injectors OMG

Dont see the point in running a bigger hot side. The way this one is will be plenty. The 1000cc inj seem like a little much as along with dual pumps unless you making 700 plus hp. but it seems decent enuff set up.

Hey fella's, if you need to talk turbo's call and get me - CRAGGER.

Yes we can put T3 hotsides on the GT14 if you like, but the bolt on model works just fine. We can put a .63 or .82 A/R turbine housing on there as well. I may even be able to fit a 1.06 A/R turbine housing but i'm not sure, never tried it but garrett does have a part number for one... Hrm, i'm going to have to look into that one!

If you need anything else let me know!

I have been informed by several people that a single 255hp will only support up to 45lbs/min air flow. The turbo is rated at 65 lbs/min. I would like to take the turbo to its full potential. If I have been misinformed please let me know. I plan on running about 30-40 psi on the set up.

I've had a dyno shop and about 3 different guys with 500+whp DSMs tell me this. When I get it to the dyno I'll check it out. I have the ability to run only one pump at a time. I’m setting up the other pump (if needed) to come on at about 25psi or so. I’ll do a run up to my goal boost level and see if the pressure drops off with just one pump.

Thanks again,
Jon

Let us know what you find out. There's 2 versions of the 255 if you didn't know, plus you could rewire it for more voltage=more fuel. Good luck and when are you dynoing it?

I've got them both rewired with 10ga and relays. One will be running off a pressure switch that reads boost pressure and energizes the relay to the number 2 pump at a user set boost level. Also have -6an line from tank to rail to regulator.

I’ll have it on the dyno as soon as I get it together. If that ever happens! LOL!

There both the 255hp walbro pumps.

I'm going to see what I can get out of this turbo then more then likely go bigger. I like to see where this turbo hits bull boost at before I decide on the next one.
