1G GSX Mechanical HP Thresh-holds and realistic goals.

Sup guys?! Long time lurker. First time poster!
I have a 91 GSX 5 speed.. 110k miles. Pretty much unmodded besides the "freebies", cat back exhaust, blah blah..
I'm ready to start designing a build for my car.
I don't have a "goal hp number" per say, but want to come close to maxing out current components before taking the next step of replacing them, like injectors and the turbo... and then retune, to come close to maxing those out.
And I'd like to do as much as possible without taking the head off, then maybe build that in the end.
Basically, a continual build of sorts, haha!
So I want to know the limitations of the following stock mechanical components if anyone knows.
( Please also discuss more in depth if you like! )

Max HP the following can support/hold and/or not break:
Injectors?
14B Turbo HP and/or efficient PSI?
Transmission?
Clutch?
Axles?
Unsealed stock engine?
Stock 1G/2G exhaust manifold?
Stock head?
Stock cams?
Stock bottom end?

And while we're at it, what your choice of ECU?

Good place to start.

Maintenance is done? Stock boost gauge is crap, so one of those and a A/F gauge was my first two purchases. From their get a MBC and link, then you can play around and max things out so to speak. I'm sure with everything stock, you can get around 200 to the wheels. I'm sure others have gotten little more of little less.

A simple good search will tell you everything you need to know about the list you got their. Just put DSM at the end and your answer will most likely by the first one.

It's hard to say as every car will vary some so I'll address the ones I've done/seen personally. Keep in mind I've got a 2g so that can vary some as well.

Injectors- I was hitting fuel cut at just under 300awhp with a 16g
Trans- I plan on running my stock trans on my new setup around 450awhp
Clutch- Unsure exactly but mine started slipping at <250awhp
Axles- As long as you aren't launching at 7k every weekend those should be fine, most people swap to a 4 bolt rear end for added durability
Exhaust Mani- No real power limit, it just starts hindering performance at higher power levels
Stock 6 bolt- Depends on how hard the last 110k miles have been but 400-500awhp seems reasonable
Cams- They start hindering top end performance at >20g levels
ECU- I'm running my stock black box with EvoScan/CeddyMods but an EPROM and Link v3 will suit you just as well

I bought my car with a blown t25 so my first setup consisted of stock injectors, evo 8 fuel pump, evo 3 16g, 3in turboback exhaust, and stock smic. I made almost exactly 300awhp on 93oct. As I said earlier though on colder nights I would hit fuel cut so I was right on the limits of my stock injectors which I DO NOT recommend. Check out the site's upgrade paths as those are a great source of knowledge. Hope this was semi-helpful!
