GSX engine & trans into a gs body

Well i have a Turbo 420a Gs Eclipse and my uncle wrecked his fully built gsx and bent the frame so it is totaled but the engine and transmission are working perfectly, well he said he'd sell me the car for realllllly cheap and i was thinking about putting everything from the gsx into the body of my car. Now i was just wondering if the engine and trans and everything else from the gsx would properly fit into the body of a Gs. I know this is a n00b question and yes i did search and i didnt find anything on what i want to do. Any help would be apreciated.

Check out this thread. Doing this type of swap is possible but, I'm not sure if it's such a great idea.

buy the motor and tranny...either sell it for find a shell

just get a shell. A decent shell runs for about a grand so look around for one or for one that has a blown engine. Make sure you are looking for one that is/was a turbo chassi.

+1 on buying the car and either parting it out or finding an awd shell for it. finding a blown gsx on craigslist is very easy to find now a days.

def buy the car though if its a steal...you could EASILY part it out and make more money or like everyone is saying, find a turbo shell and make a monster!

IMO, i wouldnt let it slip through my fingers, just my .02

yeah well i guess that what im going to do then just find me a good condition gsx shell to swap all the parts into and then sell the eclipse i have now and get even more parts to it =D thanks for the help guys
