7 bolt swap into a 2g GS?

I have a '94 GSX with a locked up transmission. Instead of spending the ridiculous amount of money to have the transmission replaced, could I take a 2g eclipse (depending on the trim) and take the 7 bolt 4G63t out of my 1g and put it in a 2g? I found a 2g GS on Craigslist with a bad engine for $300, thats why I am asking.

Any help is much appreciated!

This has been covered thousands of times. No you can't put the 4g63 engine in a 420a car. The mounts are completely different as well as everything else. There are plenty of 2g turbo shells out there for next to nothing. It wouldn't cost you but a few hundred dollars to find a good working transmission for your car. I wouldn't just scrap it and put the engine in another car because the trans went bad.
