Hey guys, this seller is close to me. Is it really a GSX brake kit? It doesn't look any different from my GST brakes. I think it's BS. Are GSX rears non-vented? Single piston rear calipers? That's what I see. I heard they were better than GST brakes. (Also know that I'd never pay his price for this used as hell set). Id be interested in the calipers if they are GSX and get new pads and rotors to go with it. Upgrade to ss lines at the same time.

Just asking you all first if its even worth contacting this guy.

Looks like GSX brakes to me. The rear calipers and rotors are the same as GST brakes, solid rotors and all. The vented rear rotors were very rare - early 95 only I believe. The difference is in the front brakes. GSX fronts have a larger diameter rotor and dual piston calipers up front. You would need the front calipers and mounting brackets along with the larger diameter front rotors. There also could be some differences in your brake lines that attach to the calipers depending on the year of your car.

Hmm ok, I had read the rears where vented somewhere. This set probably isn't worth while for me then. Thanks for the info

Offer him $40. I considered putting awd brakes on my fwd but most of the people who've done it don't even notice a difference. As long as your calipers are working properly with some decent pads and blank rotors (after trying all types) those little fwd brakes stop on a dime. I lucked out on my Tsi with no abs. Im still considering putting 3000gt brakes on but only because they're practically free and I'll have some free time over winter.

Thats what I was going for, I thought the GSX had similar brakes to the all vented 3000gt. But I guess not. If I ever come across a set for the right price thats what I plan to do too. Would look good through the TE37 style wheels I'm looking at.
