gst will not turn over. help

The car will start once or twice in the morning when its cold but after I drive it and shut it down it doesn't start.

I turn the key and all it does is cycle the fuel pump.

It doesn't turn over at all.

Any ideas?

Maybe a bad battery, or the coolant temp sensor could be bad.

Battery seems good. 11.7 volts.

Coolant temp sensor would make it not start?

Sounds like a starter problem...worn brushes caused me to have the same problem. Next time it happens, take a long bar and "tap" on the starter while someone holds the key in the start position. If it starts, time to rebuild or replace the starter.

Is it turning over when you turn the key or is it just dimming the lights and not activating the starter?

Yeah it just dims the lights and the starter does nothing. No noise at all.

Sounds like an overheated starter.
