have you looked at the biss screw? improperly adjusted throttle cable? try to close the throttle plate by hand while your engine is running

This is from a 2009 post by 98GSXtreme07 hope it helps

Your P0505 code would be your ISC. I get this code every once in a while. If you still have the tan one, known to fail more, than I would go ahead and purchase one of the new one's (they're black). Make sure to reset your ECU when you do this....

Where to purchase, and learn a little, the newer ISC's: DSMISC Automotive (New ISC Supplier)

heres the link to the page

Thats kinda funny:hmm:, cause I was helping my buddy fix this issue on his 1g,I bought a black isc and a tan one from a pull a part recently.
I tested the black one that was on his car already and it was bad, then tested the other black one i just got from pull a part, it too was bad, then i installed the tan one and it worked.
I took the tan one out of an early Mitsubishi diamante
the black one I got was off of a turbo dsm.
guess this is hit and miss.
cause the tan one thats on their now works great man.
just curious where did you hear the tan ones were more trouble prone?

did you make sure the ISC poped in/out when the car was in the start position with it still connected to wiring.
see video link below for reference

if it dose this then you can move on to the next sensor.
also make sure you clean the isc housing, and the biss screw housing with carb cleaner you don't want old carbon deposits in there.

Its your FIAV, i had exact the same problem after rebuilding my engine. Block it off or get a working tb with working FIAV and your golden... Or.. You have a massive boost leak on your tb, either from biss, shaft or gasket itself.. But i'm going for fiav.
