Gs to GS-t transmission swap. Flywheel options!!

Just picked up a GS-T tranny / axels and now all I need is flywheel/pressure plate. Was planning on getting a aftermarket clutch. I know ACT and Fidanza makes some decent stuff.

Is there any special maintenance required with a after market clutch? like keeping a eye of trans temp so you don't burn it up. Breaking it in??? Etc etc etc

Fidanza, Clutchmasters, Competition, ACT. Take your pick of flywheels. Just make sure it's stepped correctly to .608" to .610". While you're having the step checked, have the flywheel balanced.

Break in for each clutch disc is different. Follow manufacturer's instructions. It's mostly easy shifting, slow take offs, etc.

Thanks had no idea I needed to make sure it's balanced or steeped Common sense actually.

They're usually good about it, but sometimes they can slip through. It just doesn't make sense to not have it done. It would suck to have to install it then pull it back out cause of a balancing issue or clutch engagement/disengagement issues.
