well i walked out to my freakin car today and the tire was flat... so what do you guys think i should do... i just bought the car, and the tires look brand new... patch the tire? or just buy a new one?

well first if not obvious you have tried the route of putting air in it and locating the leak or no?
next what type of usage are you gonna drive the car? if racing and hard cornering buy new, try to get the tire prorated at a tire dealer or if you had road hazard u should be covered. thats all i know

what a waste of my time..I mean I don't know many things about our cars, but honnestly should you even be owning a dsm? Not trying to be an ass, just stating the obvious..

I'm talking about the fact that you have to come on here and post about your flat? I mean you have 2 choices which you stated, and both of them both have really obvious outcomes....Maybe I'm just an asshole but seriously don't bother patching it if your planning on driving it hard, go out and get a new tire.

It's probably flat on just the one side- usually toward the bottom.. The rest of it should be fine.

If it's a sheet-metal screw and not close to the shoulder, plug it. If it's a cut or near the shoulder, replace the tire.

It all depends where it is leaking from and how hard you plan on driving your car. If you're going to the drag strip you probably don't want a patched tire (all those wiser then I please correct me if I'm wrong on that) Also if the hole is in the sidewall of the tire you won't be able to patch it anyways.

Chances are that you ran over something and then it slowly lost air overnight. Go to a tire shop and see what they can do. I got a nail in mine and is slowly losing air. Just get it repaired. As long as there isn't any damage on the sides of the tire, it should be fine.
