Sure. Why not?! The door is connected to the car with metal.

Yes it should be fine just make sure to remove the paint and get down to bare metel.

My shaved door handle solnoid, and instead of running a ground wire into the car I was hoping this would work. Also infact just from mounting the bracket to the door panel is that grounded or should I run a wire from the bracket to a spot on the door?

Either way will work. If the bracket is metal, and is mounted on the door with metal bolts, then you can run the ground wire to the metal bracket or to the door.
