Grinds in 1st and reverse

OK i will go to put it in 1st and it will grind sometimes the same thing with revers i have a stage 1 clutch in it i was wondering if i need the slave ext rod. And i just looked under my car today and i saw something dripping and i put my fingers in it it was like silver with matalics in it. its dripping right off x-case but i dont think its comming from x-case

common problem with 1g's. Not much you can do about it really, syncros are just goin bad in the transmission.

I put stiff bushings kits at the shifter and the transmission. I replaced the lube with BG Synchroshift and adjusted the cables. No more problems.

It will help but like the other tuner said the synchros are going out. Sooner or later you will need a rebuild.
