When I'm driving, I think also when im idling or pressing the gas out of gear, I can feel a wierd grinding in the pedal, and hear it as well. What does that sound like?

Oh yea and it also might be intermittent, maybe I just dont remember. But I think yesterday I drove it and it didnt do it at all, then today it did.

Does it happen at a specific MPH or anything? Grinding while at Idle would indicate something with the engine.

actually now that i think of it, theres no grinding at idle, idle is smooth, I think its PROBABLY a clutch thing, since I think my car is still running the stock clutch on 150000 miles. and no specific mph, all the time.

with the cluth engaged, disengaged, or both. when rolling with engine off trans in neutral? more specifics please.

hmm, I have a bad memory right now so I'll have to post an update in the morning.

Okay heres what actually happens. It occurs mainly when the engine has movement, such as at startup when the engine bucks a little, and when I let off the throttle. It doesn't really happen when I'm cruising at regular speeds. I assume it's some type of metal to metal that touches when the motor rumbles around and hits it or something.

I read some threads about the starter hitting the flywheel, how common is this and could this be it?? Any replies are appreciated!
