Greddy Type S: Authentic vs Fake?

I have seen these fake greddy type s style bov's that look exactly like the actual greddy type s but are like $100 less, i was wondering if these function exactly the same and if anyone has used one. I dont plan on getting one, but i was just curious if they are legit.

They are made from the same stuff but they don't have as good of springs inside of them. They are good for about 14 psi and that's about it. It would be like buying a 2g BOV. It makes no sense to get one. When it comes to something as important as a BOV on modded cars I would never cut corners. I'll spend the extra 100 and stay away from compressor surge.

Acctually the knock off greddy's hold at least up to 20psi. The really bad thing about them is the rubber seal inside them sucks. I had one and less than 3 months later the rubber seal inside was all cracked allowing air to flow through it causing the BOV to not function. It works great while it was working but they dont last very long. I went to an HKS SSQV BOV now which hold as much boost as you want.

In Conclusion: Dont buy those Knock off Greddy BOV's, I wasted $80 on one, dont waste your money.
