greddy type-s adjustment after disassembly

I took my greddy type-s apart and had the top powder coated and i put it all back together, but im not sure how far this threaded stud should go down in, i remember it was down pretty far

i was reading posts about it and after looking at it, it just doesnt seem right, if this stud goes down far enough to touch the top to push the plunger out then wouldnt it be holding it from moving up at all to release the air from the intercooler piping

well i figured it out, i was missing the top piece that sits on top of the spring, i found it on my desk , now it makes sense, cuz before it would have to push right on the plunger, but now it pushes on the round piece on top of the spring
