GReddy Ti-c exhaust

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I have one on my car. It is pricey compared to other exhaust but I luckily got mines for FREE because I was lucky enough to be selected to be tested on. iI like the exhaust, well built. it goes under the axle so if your lowered, it tends to scrape over bigger speed bumps. its not too loud, its perfect to me. its not as loud as the apex n1. I am completely satisfied with mine but then again i didnt pay for it.

All Greddy exhaust systems should come with a jar of Vaseline.

There are too many good exhaust systems for less to give your hard-earned money to Greddy. Just like the folks who spend $1900+ for a "Greddy 18G Turbo"....FP sells a BETTER 18G for $799.

A friend of my had it on his 98 gst and all I remember he would scrape the can EVERY TIME. Later on he went over a bump in the road and it dent the can.

I am not so concerned about the weight. i do care about sound. I have heard them both on youtube yeah I know the exuast sounds different depending on where the camera is placed, but I like how the greddy sounds. Plus its GReddy :thumb:

Idk man, I'm addicted to my N1. IMO, it's the best exhaust for a dsm period, but that's just my opinion though. The sound at idle is very close to stock, if not the same as stock and I like the way it sounds when I get on it in the high rpms. The looks is also another thing that I like; there's nothing like a 2g ass with a N1 sitting underneath. To each his own though.

You mean....:notgood:.

I'm not a fan of wasting money. A few years back, a local kid had a clean black '97 GST with a Greddy SP exhaust. He babied the car and paid out the a$$ for the exhaust, and thanks to the PA winters the exhaust rusted through and broke in just 2 years. I realize that this is back then the APexi and Greddy systems were mild steel, but spending $600 on an exhaust system that lasts 2 years is completely unacceptable.

That experience alone has turned me off of buying Greddy products forever. Their turbos are nothing more than overpriced MHI units, their blowoff valves can require yearly diaphragm replacement, and their exhaust systems fail prematurely. Who would pay more for that?

I'll take my $185 stainless eBay exhausts and put the rest of the money I save back into the car.

Its far from the "best" exhaust relating to maximum flow and HP gains which is what determines best for most of us gear head racers. Maybe looks and sound it's "best" for you but you can't argue performance facts.

Although he DID say that money is no issue here, what I'm not understanding is why you WOULDNT be both cost effective, and take care of the car at the same time, as well as save yourself some tickets.

To me, the best choice here (well the best choice in any situation) is a custom or Ebay system. As we all know, exhaust is just piping and a muffler, and a pipe is a pipe is a pipe, the only difference is what it's made out of. If you can get stainless steel piping, then you can shop around and get whatever muffler you want. When I was first starting with the car, it was pretty much Apexi or NOTHING. about 3 or so months ago, a buddy of mine got a 2g turbo, and picked up his TURBOBACK ebay exhaust for 200 dollars, a fraction of what I paid for CATBACK. He's got the same exhaust system as me, and paid 1/3rd of the price. Nobody could tell the difference (other than the fact that when my car was running, I'd blow his doors off LOL)

Also, idk if you WANT a grapefruit shooter as a muffler, but I'm cutting mine off as soon as I have the funds. I'm going with a black ebay muffler, for more of a stock/stealth look. I think after so many years of everyone in ANY kind of car challenging you because you have a muffler, it gets old, I only want to race people that have enough brains to understand that I'm not driving a 2g nt or I don't just have a muffler on the car. Plus, the closer to stock your car looks, less chance you get attention from the police. I threw a resonator in line to quiet my exhaust down, because the first day I had my exhaust I got stopped on the way HOME from the shop.

Just my .02

I agree with you to an extent. The one thing you're forgetting though is the differences in the piping bends. If you get a custom exhaust made at your local exhaust shop, its going to be a simple press bent system that is not the best when it comes to exhaust flow. In a press bent system, the piping diameter will be smaller at every bend causing excessive back-pressure.

You're much better of with a mandrel bent exhaust system that has consistent diameter piping throughout regardless of bends.

sorry it took a while for me to put some pictures, I have been really busy lately. but here they are, sorry for the quality, I took them with my phone. This should be more than enough, let me know if u have more questions.

Only the tip is titanium. I didnt get to hold the actual exhaust because they just installed it once i got there. But one of these days ill take it off and see how much different it is. i doubt its that much different tho. But I got a chance to carry one of there full titanium exhaust and that thing was supper light!!

only the tip is titanium for that much? yikes, ditto on the vaseline comment. we're just jeaous because we can't afford it :)

i have a greddy PE catback in my other car, the piping i see looks the same as in their other systems, that bronze color. no problem at all, but this was before ebay catbacks, and after seeing the turbobacks from ebay, i wouldve got that. ill gladly sell my greddy PE for $400

so the piping goes under the axle even on the fwds?

if i can recall, the ebay full 3" turboback for the gsts can be had for about $250 shipped when they have those package deals for both in 1 auction. and it goes over the axle, but the muffler and buy a "TI" tip, you are good to go!

buy a TI look muffler tip like that for $40 on ebay, and voila!

Thanks a lot for the pics. It looks really nice.

Is your car lowered?
Does the exhaust scrape at all when you go over bumps?

yea its lowered with prokits.it scrapes sometimes when i go over bigger speed bumbs. stiffen up your suspensions and go slow and your good to go. I was going to make a video of the sound but it doesnt come out right. my camera doesnt capture the sound right
